32K TEXTURE GENERATOR / Adobe Substance
Adobe Substance has an extensive library of designs and textures, most of which are seamless. However, in general the output is limited to 8K (8192 × 8192 pixels). To make larger designs with more detail, a procedure is presented to increase the output resolution to 32K (32,768 × 32,768 pixels).
Representing a custom coordinate-domain framework for high-precision manufacturing, using Adobe Substance Designer to demonstrate this example.
Quandrant domains and function boundary conditions.
Render output from Substance 3D Viewer of remap_engine. sbs.
32K output. Note that the quadrants do not repeat as the procedural function is evaluated over different domains.
The join lines, represented by the blue guides, are mathematically perfect.

By calling the sbsrender.exe through the command prompt, and setting the output size to 14,14 (2^14), 16K files are written. This is shown in the above command line where one must put the appropriate path to sbsender.exe and remap_engine.sbsar.
The sbsar file is the procedural texture mathematics used to generate the pattern. By sampling this function over 4 domains, each representing a 16K quadrant, then putting these quadrants together into a single image, a 32K file with incredible detail and perfect joins is formed.
Almost any tileable design in Adobe Substance can be used to form the enhanced pattern.
A downloadable batch file is provided calling sbsar with the appropriate domain limits {variables DOMAIN_X and DOMAIN_Y} for each quadrant. The variables are put into the pixel processor. The output of the batch file is 4 16K files written to the desktop.
COMMAND LINE PROMPT to ENABLE 16K OUTPUT
"{PATH TO}\sbsrender.exe" render --inputs "{PATH TO}"remap_engine.sbsar" --set-value "$outputsize@14,14" --output-format tiff --output-path "C:\Users\Admin\Desktop"
The core advantage of this coordinate-domain framework is that it completely bypasses the standard 8K engine rendering limit, allowing Substance graphs to evaluate textures at exponentially greater scale and precision. While the traditional digital media pipeline relies on heavy, separated UV tiles (UDIMs) that can break geometric continuity, this method evaluates the mathematical function cleanly across distinct domains—delivering true, uncompressed high-bit heightmaps for toolpaths and lasers without needing enterprise mainframes.

This file output the 4 quadrants in 25 seconds. I made the design and ran the output in less than 10 minutes. I remember the days we would spend weeks to produce this type of artwork.
